The Nordics Peak Barrel Sauna

A four-person cedar barrel built for year-round outdoor use, including the months when walking out to it is the whole ritual. The curve is not styling: a barrel holds less air volume than a square room of the same footprint and has no cold upper corners, so it reaches temperature faster on the same heater. Marine-grade bands and clear western red cedar are what keep it standing after a decade of weather.

Shipping and logistics

Saunas of this size ship by LTL freight on a pallet, not by parcel carrier. The carrier contacts you to book a delivery appointment and someone 18 or older must sign for it. Standard service is curbside, which means the pallet is lowered at the end of your driveway and moving it from there is your responsibility. A loaded pallet can exceed 500 lbs, so plan for help and equipment. Liftgate service is required unless you have a loading dock, and narrow or steep access should be flagged before ordering.

Inspect before you sign. Walk all sides of the pallet, photograph it before the driver leaves, and note any damage on the delivery receipt. Signing a clean receipt is a legal statement that the shipment arrived undamaged, and carriers routinely deny claims afterwards.
